A SEXTET of Ammanford fitness fans have brought a little colour into their lives by raising more than £500 for charity.

The six pals, who are all regulars at Ammanford’s Funky Pump fitness classes, took part in the Rainbow Run to raise funds for Ty Hafan, the Welsh hospice that provides help and support for the families of children with life-limiting conditions.

The Rainbow Row, which takes at Pendine Sands, sees fundraisers completing a 5k run while being pelted with a full spectrum of coloured powder paint, ensuring that by the time the reach the finish line they are all colours of the rainbow.

Hannah Griffiths, Charlotte Adams, Beth Elias, Hayley Phillips, Clare Edwards, Laura Griffin, with the support of family and friends, all completed the run in under 30 minutes.

“It was an amazing fun,” said Clare.

“To be raising money for such a worthy cause, with a lovely bunch of friends, really was a great experience.

“We all enjoyed every minute of it.

“The sun was shining and we all had a fantastic afternoon and would like to thank everyone who took the trouble to sponsor us or donate to such a brilliant charity.

The girls raised the total thanks to sponsorship from friends and through their justgiving.com page.

If anyone would like to support the girls then there is still time to donate via the just giving page https://www.justgiving.com/5awesomeammanfordians/
