CARMARTHENSHIRE residents are being urged to shop local this Christmas and reminded to order all their fresh produce in good time for the festive season at our county’s markets.
Ammanford open air market will be open Monday, December 22 until Christmas Eve.
With less than a month to go until the big day – shoppers can also take the stress out of organising Christmas Lunch by pre-ordering at indoor markets in Carmarthen and Llanelli.
From turkey and other fresh meats to fresh vegetables, Christmas cake and much more, local traders have everything necessary to ensure householders can get ahead of Christmas rush.
Carmarthenshire County Council’s executive board member responsible for the markets, Cllr Jeff Edmunds, said: “It’s easy to get your Christmas organised in plenty of time and without the stress by visiting your local market and pre-ordering your fresh produce. Our markets are a great place to find cards, wrapping paper, gifts and much more and with the markets opening on extra dates it’s even easier to get your Christmas shopping wrapped up.”
Llanelli Indoor Market will be open on Sunday, December 14 and 21 from 10am-4pm. The open air market will be open every day from Thursday, December 18 until Christmas Eve (excluding Sunday, December 21).
Carmarthen Indoor Market will be open every Sunday in December (7th, 14th and 21st) in the run up to Christmas from 10am-4pm.
