Snowman record attempt cancelled due to high winds
AMMANFORD'S attempt to break the world record for the number of snowmen gathered in one place today has been cancelled due to high winds.
The parade through the town has also been cancelled.
The Christmas lights switch-on and other events scheduled for the town centre will go ahead as planned.
A spokesman for Ammanford Chamber of Trade said: "Sadly due to the weather expected this afternoon with high gusting winds we will have to cancel the Guinness Record Attempt."
