AN AMMANFORD man has been confirmed as the motorcyclist whose body was found in a Carmarthenshire field last Thursday.

Jonathan Richard Thomas, of Llandybie, was found in a field on the B4302 between Talley and Crugybar on the morning of June 23.

Members of Llandybie community council have paid tribute to the 29-year-old.

Councillor Anthony Jones said: “Hopefully it can come to light what exactly happened that led to this tragedy.”

Fellow community member, David Hopkins said: “It’s a tragic loss and a terrible situation.

“It’s awful that a young life could be taken such a young age.”

An inquest into Mr Thomas’s death has been opened and adjourned by HM coroner for Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire.

It is believed he died sometime on Wednesday or Thursday last week.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "We were called to the scene of a road traffic collision on the B4302 between Talley and Crugybar.

“A man and a Suzuki motorcycle were found off the road in a field.”

Dyfed-Powys Police say they are not certain when Mr Thomas died when appealing for witnesses.
