A man will face trial at Swansea Crown Court after denying assaulting a police officer in Ammanford.
A CARMARTHENSHIRE man has denied assaulting a police officer in Ammanford.
Jason Roberts, 44, of Station Road in Burry Port, appeared at Swansea Crown Court accused of assaulting an officer in Ammanford on April 22.
He pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault by beating of an emergency worker.
Prosecutor Brian Simpson said the incident had been captured on a police officer’s body worn camera.
“It’s on video,” he said. “It’s up to the jury whether they believe Mr Roberts’ account or not.”
Judge Paul Thomas refused bail for Roberts, and ordered that he will stand trial on August 10.
