A MAN has avoided prison after assaulting three police officers in Ammanford and Llanelli.

Christopher Price, 27, of Cwrt Neville in Llanelli, appeared at Llanelli Magistrates' Court on June 8 facing a series of charges – all dating back to April 22.

Price was accused of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress towards two police officers in Llanelli.

He was also alleged to have assaulted one of these officers in Llanelli.

Price was also charged with assaulting two more police officers on that date in Ammanford.

At Llanelli Magistrates’ Court, he admitted the offences.

Price was made the subject of an 18-month community order, as part of which he must complete 300 hours of unpaid work and 25 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

He was ordered to pay a total of £450 compensation to the officers, as well as £85 in costs.
