AN Amman Valley restaurant is offering families a way to ease their financial struggles during the summer holidays and still enjoy a meal out.
With the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, many families are having pay extremely close attention to their budget over the summer holidays, even more after the Welsh Government withdrew funding for free school meals pupils over the summer, which has left those on the lowest incomes concerned about ensuring their children – and themselves – are adequately fed.
Uncle Bobs at the Raven, Cwmamman Road, Garnant, is offering deals on meals over the summer holidays to help families.
Rob Megson, owner of the small restaurant chain, knows that everyone is finding it hard with the cost-of-living crisis and is willing to help both staff and customers.
He has introduced deals including a ‘feed the family deal’ which for £22 provides to adult classic meals and two children’s meals. There is also a children eat free, where one child’s meal is provided for free for under 12s with every adult meal.
