THE planned timetables for First Cymru buses in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Neath Port Talbot over Christmas and New Year have been revealed.

First Bus has confirmed that none of its services will be running on Christmas Day, with revised timetables across the rest of the festive period and are advising passengers to check before they travel.

Here is a summary of the services:

  • Christmas Eve (December 24): Normal Sunday timetable, however, some services will finish earlier than usual.
  • Christmas Day (December 25) and Boxing Day (December 26): No service.
  • December 27-29: Saturday timetables on all services aside from service 4, 29 and 166. These three services will be operating their Monday to Friday school holiday timetables.
  • December 30: Normal Saturday timetable.
  • New Years Eve (December 31): Normal Sunday timetable but some services will finish earlier than usual.
  • New Years Day (January 1): No service.
  • January 2: Normal school holiday services will resume and remain in place going forward.

Doug Claringbold, managing director of First West of England, Cymru and Worcester, said: “We recognise that customers want transport during the festive period, but it’s also important that we give our hard-working drivers some well-earned down time to celebrate with their family and friends.

“I’d like to thank all our customers who have travelled with us during the past year and wish you, and our future customers, a merry Christmas and a great new year, and we look forward to transporting you across our region in 2024 and beyond.”
