THESE motorists have had their cases heard in court recently.

The four defendants were accused of driving while uninsured, speeding, riding a motorbike without a valid licence, and not identifying a driver alleged to have committed an offence.

Their cases were heard at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on January 15.

Here’s a round-up of the cases.

CARYS KNIGHT, 37, of Rhodfa Bryn Rhos in Glanaman, is accused of speeding on the M4.

Knight was alleged to have been driving a Mercedes A180 at 87mph on the M4 between junctions 48 and 49 on June 19.

The case was adjourned at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on January 15, and Knight will return to court on February 28.

DAVID BOURNE, 42, of Hillside Road in Crumlin, Caerphilly, is accused of driving in Carmarthenshire while uninsured.

Bourne is accused of driving a Vauxhall Astra on the A476 at Gorslas on June 18 without a valid insurance policy.

The case was adjourned at Llanelli Magistrates' Court on January 15, and a full hearing will be held on February 28.

ANDREW CAMPBELL, 44, of Glan Y Gors in Penygroes, is accused of failing to identify the driver of an Audi alleged to have committed an offence.

The charge relates to the driver of an Audi A3 who was alleged to have been doing 38mph on the 30mph limit A476 Felinfoel Road on June 18.

An offence of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have committed an offence was proved using the single justice procedure at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on January 15.

The case was adjourned until February 12.

BRANDON CLARK, 19, of Heol Llethryd in Pontyberem, is accused of riding a motorbike without a valid licence and while uninsured.

Clark was alleged to have ridden a Kawasaki ZX on Coalbrook Road in Pontyberem on June 16.

He is accused of having a provisional licence, which would mean he was not covered for riding a 140cc motorbike.

The case was adjourned at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on January 15, and Clark will be back in court on February 28.
