A MAN has been in court charged with drink driving after police were called to a crash in Ammanford on Christmas Day.

Police were called at about 10.10pm on Monday, December 25 after a Volkswagen Golf crashed in to an electric post and several vehicles parked on Llandybie Road.

No injuries were reported.

It was alleged that David Jones, 46, of Colonel Road in Betws, had been driving the Volkswagen Golf while drunk.

Llanelli Magistrates' Court heard that, when breathalysed, Jones was alleged to have recorded having 66 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

No plea was entered in court on January 16.
