AN AMMANFORD man has been found not guilty of assaulting and strangling a woman.
Clive Tomlinson, 58, of Banc Y Ddraenen, appeared at Swansea Crown Court charged with assault by beating and intentional strangulation.
The offences referred to an alleged incident involving the same complainant on January 28 last year in Pensarn in Carmarthen.
He had pleaded not guilty to each charge.

Tomlinson was due to stand trial on December 6, but it was adjourned as there was insufficient time for the trial to be heard.
On January 23, prosecutor Helen Randall said new evidence had been received and there was no longer a realistic chance of prosecution.
She entered no evidence on either charge.
“I enter formal not guilty verdicts in respects of counts one and two and that’s the end of the matter,” Judge Paul Thomas KC said.
