A BURNS Night celebration kicked off the Six Nations in Ammanford this past weekend.
Tycroes RFC held a charity Burns Night celebration on Friday, February 2 – the eve of Wales’ 2024 Six Nations Championship opener against Scotland.
During the event, they had a Scottish themed meal of haggis, neeps and tatties and there was entertainment from Scottish poetry and storytelling duo The Jolly Beggars.
The traditional piping of the haggis was led by Pipe Major Michael Kelly from the Swansea Pipe Band. The haggis was addressed with the Robert Burns poem and toasted with Scottish whisky.
