A motorcyclist was rescued on a stretcher after driving off a roadway in a town near Powys.
On the outskirts of Llanwrtyd Wells, a person ended up 10 metres down a steep embankment and firefighters used a vertical stretcher rescue system to bring the casualty to safety.
The procedure was carried out on April 19 by a level three rope rescue team from Pontardawe and a level two team from Ammanford.
Pontardawe and Ammanford have an on-call crewing system, meaning their firefighters get notified of an emergency call when on duty.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is looking to recruit more on-call firefighters at all of its on-call stations.
On-call firefighters have opportunities for personal and professional development while receiving payment for their services.
They also receive call-out payments and retainer fees which allows them to supplement their income from other employment.
