Ammanford 4 Tumble 2

Following defeat in midweek, Ammanford looked to get back into winning ways as they entertained Tumble.

Wearing the alternate kit of yellow in the warm sunshine, the hosts made a brilliant comeback to secure the three points and remain in contention for a potential promotion push.

Ammanford started the better with Jason Nel linking with the wingers Elgan Griffiths and Steffan Howells, however Ammanford's final ball failed to create a clear-cut opening.

The defence of Lloyd Bevan, Jack Conway, Josh Davies and Matt Warnes played some superb football and provided the midfield with superb service. Hedd-Wyn Jones was again solid in goal.

Despite being in control, the hosts failed to take advantage and the first half ended 0-0.

The second half saw a complete turnaround from the first, with six goals, a sending off and an amazing comeback from the home side.

Ammanford again started the better with the introduction of Jake Webb providing physicality further up the field. However, Tumble did not give an inch and took the lead from a long throw. The visitors extended their lead with just under half an hour to go.

Facing a second defeat in a row, the deflated young Ammanford side looked bereft until an a deliberate handball in the Tumble box reduced the visitors to ten men and allowed the hosts to being a comeback as Dylan Thomas blasted the penalty into the top corner.

With confidence restored, Ammanford began to play the better football with Liam Wolley and Simon Pritchard dominating the midfield. Kyle Wells provided hustle and bustle up front and soon enough Ammanford were awarded another penalty for a second handball.

Thomas again slotted home the spot-kick to draw the hosts level.

With the man advantage, Ammanford took complete control and claimed the lead through Steffan Howells' solo goal. The three points were cemented when Wolley headed in Bevan's well-delivered free kick.

Ammanford certainly made hard work of the match but got the much-needed three points to maintain their position near the top of the table.
