Carmarthenshire League Division Two

Ammanford 10 Kidwelly 1

Ammanford's second string recorded their eighth consecutive league win of the season with an emphatic victory over Kidwelly.

The win sees them climb to the top of the table.

The game as a contest was over before half-time with the hosts taking a 5-0 lead into the break.

Ammanford goal-scorers were Chris Hyde (two), Shaun Williams (three), Olli Ardolino (two), Rhodri Jones (two) and Nathan Jones.

The squad has been restructured this season following the club's policy of developing young local players and includes five of last years under 16s league winners team and four from last year's youth team.

The squad currently has an average age of just 20.

In the eight league games played, the side has scored 39 goals with only nine conceded.

Chris Hyde leads the scoring charts with 13 goals, followed by Shaun Williams with seven and Olli Ardolino on six.

This Saturday, the team will face a much sterner test when they travel to Premier League leaders Loughor Rovers in the second round of the senior cup, before two home games against Johnstown and Felinfoel.
