TOWY ABC had a big weekend of boxing last week with four boxers in action.

Friday night saw the club at the Diplomat Hotel boxing in a charity event for the Robert Dickie Foundation.

Joe Anthony was first up, on against Adam Lawrence of Cardigan.

Both boxers put on an excellent display of boxing to start the evening and Joe was unlucky not to come away the winner.

Next up was Towy newcomer Morgan Hill against a boxer from Aberystwyth. Both boxers really got the crowd going with some good boxing Morgan took the prize, coming away the winner by unanimous decision.

Back in the ring after injury was Towy favourite Jake Anthony against Jonathan Clatworthy of Porthcawl.

The final bout saw Towy’s Huw Francis boxing Jordan Marshal of Penyrheol.

Both boxed to a high standard, working hard behind the jab. Marshal came away with the unanimous decision.

Saturday night saw the club in action against a visiting Irish team in the Fairfield club with Kyle Mayes of Towy boxing Reece Donavon of Togher BC Cork.

Mayes was on top form boxing, well behind his jab and keeping control of the bought, winning by unanimous decision.

Towy ABC will be hosting their last show of this season at a dinner show at Betws RFC on June 5 when all the above boxers can be seen.

Dinner tickets are available from Derek on 07775548001 costing £25 or standing tickets are at the door on the night.
