Neath and District

U15s Cup Final

Cwmamman United 0

Bryn Rovers 2

Bryn Rovers’ Liam Cox earned his side the Neath and District U15s Cup with two goals against valley rivals Cwmamman United in a hard-fought final between two well-matched sides at Grenig Park.

An inspired display by Bryn keeper Nathan Morgan was equally crucial in securing Rovers the cup and the stopped was in fine form early on as he prevented Cwm taking the lead by producing three fantastic one-on-one saves to thwart the attacker.

The first half passed without any further clear-cut chances for either side as both teams held firm.

Bryn’s defence, led superbly by Cory Evans - the son of former Rovers captain Steve Evans, remained resolute throughout and were able to see off United pressure with Liam Davies in particular enjoying a great game at left back as he kept his winger at bay.

Cox finally opened the scoring with a well-taken goal as he cut in from the right flank and kept his cool to finish well and fire past the Cwmamman keeper.

It was 2-0 soon after as the lightening Cox scored a great goal in similar fashion to his first.

He was only denied his hat-trick when his shot sailed over the bar just moments later.

It mattered little however and Rovers were crowned Neath and District U15s champions.
