South Wales Premier West - Seconds Division Ammanford (193-9) lost to (Neath 194-4) Ammanford seconds were well beaten by a strong Neath side at the Park on Saturday.
Batting first, Ammanford scored 193 for nine, the main run-getters being skipper Mark Jones (41), Lloyd Bevan (40), Harris Jones (31) and Matthew Davies (21).
Neath's main destroyers were Huw Wilkes (4-52) and Efan Davies (3-37).
A century opening stand between Dafydd James (69) and Sam Mogford (29) put Neath well on the way to victory, and subsequent batsmen Gethin King (41) and Davies (28) maintained momentum and saw Neath home with six wickets and seven overs to spare.
